17th Annual Meeting (RAPS 2016)
7-9th September 2016 – Loughborough University
Welcome to the 17th Annual Meeting of RAPS.
This meeting is aimed at giving early-career researchers (post-docs, recently appointed academics and industrialists) with the aim of developing their peer network within and outside the UK. We focus on practical early career advice from a range of experienced speakers on topics ranging from entrepreneurship and open innovation to generating funding, building a lab and interacting with the media.
Overall, the symposium is a great opportunity for early-career researchers to start their network of collaborators.
• Prof Andrew Lewis (Biocompatibles UK Ltd)
• Dr Claire Hansell (Nature Publishing Group)
There will be contributed oral and poster presentations (with sponsored prizes), and we aim to allow the majority of attendees to present their work. There will be presentations from leading industrialists, academics and publishers and various networking opportunities to establish collaborations and discuss the challenges of collaborative working and publishing.
The meeting will be held on Loughborough University campus. Registration will be open from noon on Wednesday.
